Michael Fegan

Michael Fegan is EVP and CTO at Dime Community Bank. In this role, Mr. Fegan leads the IT Operations Area, the IT Business Relationship Management Function as well as the Innovation and Enterprise Data Management teams. He has is tasked with spearheading the ongoing transformation of the bank’s digital and technology platforms while focusing on creating a culture of leadership, personal growth, high morale and change resiliency.
Prior to joining Dime, Mr. Fegan served as the Chief Information and Operations Officer of Investors Bank. The business functions he directed included Information Technology, The Client Care Center, Enterprise Project Management Office, Deposit Services, Cash Management and Loan Servicing for both Commercial and Residential clients. He was the Executive Sponsor for the banks CRM Transformation (Salesforce) as well as the implementation of a new Loan Origination System (nCino).
Prior to joining Investors Bank, Mr. Fegan was Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Bank Leumi. He built, led and evolved an organization, with responsibility for Banking and Brokerage Operations, as well as Technology, Information Security, Program Management, Business Relationship Management and Vendor management. He was the executive sponsor who managed the transformation of the bank’s core banking system. Upon completion, the bank achieved significant growth in deposits, lending, and cash management services, which ultimately produced large increases in revenue and profits.
Previously, he served as CIO for Suffolk County National Bank where he helped formulate the company’s strategic vision and deployed more advanced technologies to launch mobile banking and improve enterprise data management, fraud detection, online account opening, business intelligence, and disaster recovery. He also managed the day-to-day execution of Bank Operations, Information Technology, Program Management Office, and Information Security. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fegan held Management positions at Omgeo (subsidiary of DTCC and Thomson Reuters), JPMorgan Chase, Citibank and Andersen Consulting.
Mr. Fegan sits on the Board of Directors for QSAC (Quality Services for the Autism Community) and ART/NY (Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York).
Mr. Fegan is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds a B.S. in Education and Social Policy with a concentration in Business Management and Organizational Studies.
